In the event of accommodation not becoming available at any of the above mentioned hotels we shall book alternate accommodation at a similar or next best available hotel and shall pass on the difference of rates (supplement / reduction whatever applicable) to you.

Itinerary

Arrive at Leh Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport. On a clear day, you can see the peaks of K2, Nanga Parbat, and Gasherbrum from one side of the aircraft, while the Nun Kun massif appears close enough to touch on the other. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by a TIH representative and transferred to your hotel for check-in. Spend the day at leisure to rest and acclimatize to the high altitude. Dinner and overnight stay in Leh.

After breakfast, head to the Sham Valley for a day of sightseeing. Hall of Fame: Visit this museum, built by the Indian Army, which commemorates the bravery of soldiers. Key attractions include the OP Vijay Gallery, Kargil War exhibits, weapons, letters, and a souvenir shop. Gurudwara Pathar Sahib: Nestled deep in the Himalayas, this Gurudwara commemorates Guru Nanak Dev Ji's visit to Ladakh. Magnetic Hill: A fascinating spot where vehicles appear to roll uphill due to an optical illusion. Confluence of Zanskar and Indus Rivers: Witness the scenic meeting point of the turquoise Zanskar and greenish Indus rivers near Nimmu Village. Leh Palace: Explore this 17th-century royal palace, which offers panoramic views of Leh and the Zanskar mountains. Shanti Stupa: Located atop a hill, this white-domed Buddhist stupa provides breathtaking views of Leh. Return to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, drive to Nubra Valley via Khardung-La Pass (18,390 ft), the highest motorable road in the world. Arrive in Sumur or Hunder by afternoon. Spend the rest of the day exploring the villages and visiting Diskit Monastery, known for its giant Buddha statue. Overnight stay in a camp.

Take a full-day excursion to Turtuk, a picturesque village recently opened to tourists. Located near the Line of Control, this village is known for its Balti culture, apricot orchards, and historic significance. Learn about its unique history as a part of Pakistan until 1971. Return to Nubra Valley for an overnight stay in a camp, hotel, or cottage.

After breakfast, drive to Pangong Lake via the Shyok River and Durbuk Village. Arrive at Pangong Lake (14,500 ft), the highest saltwater lake in the world, shared between India and China. Enjoy the lake's mesmerizing beauty, with its multicolored reflections. Overnight stay at a camp or cottage by the lake.

After breakfast, enjoy the scenic drive around Pangong Lake, capturing stunning photographs. Proceed to Leh via Changla Pass (17,350 ft), the third-highest motorable road in the world. Upon arrival in Leh, spend the afternoon exploring local markets or enjoying leisure activities. Overnight stay in a hotel.

After breakfast, bid farewell to your "Lakes and Passes of Ladakh" tour. Transfer to Leh Airport for your onward journey.
